What's your story?

I joined Lainy's Online Anniversary Blog Writing Contest. I had so much fun doing it. Everyone has a story to tell. It's your choice on how you present your story to the world. One of the more effective ways of telling a story besides writing it, is putting it into moving pictures... well, in other words, movies or film clips. Most internet marketers will tell you that they get their point across faster when they upload videos and talk to you about their selling points.
Advertising is also one of the best ways to get your products sold or marketed. In connection with this, I found this interesting site that specializes in multimedia video editing. What's amazing about it, is that they can help you conceptualize and produce tv commercials,  a corporate video (maybe USANA made use of them), live sporting events and videos for entertainments. I'm thinking of getting someone making an avp for my 10th wedding anniversary. I've always wanted to learn making avps myself. But then, that's me being a cheapskate. If you've got money to burn, and serious about getting your products out there and making your story told by one of the finest storytellers I've seen, then try http://www.groovylikeamovie.com.

With Recession and all...*

Most, if not all of us, have felt the effects of recession. You're one of the lucky persons, if you haven't. My mother-in-law and I were discussing Education last night. We were having a talk about my daughter who's about to attend toddler school this June. I told her about where I went to highschool and life about my college days.
We even talked about my brother-in-law who is now a junior in college. My hubby has 10 siblings. A few of them, in college already. My mother-in-law is looking for ways to buy cheap college textbooks. With different courses, it is most difficult for her to find resources and buying brandnew is not really an economical or a practical option. Some of the methods she uses is to search second-hand bookstores, borrow from friends or other relatives who took the same course or even from friends of friends.
I've been beginning to imagine my kids as they go thru elementary, highschool and college. I guess when it comes to books, since they only have one schoolyear as difference, what the 'ate' or my eldest daughter is going to use, will be inherited by her little brother.  I am dreaming that my two kids will share their books, so in that little way, I might be able to save some money and be able to use the money I was able to save for more important stuff like medicine, vitamins and food for my kids. What do you think? What do you do to save money? What are your plans?

Something I did*

Remember the fact that I now spend most of my time staring at handmade items from etsy? I should mention I also do that at multiply. In fact, I now have a lot of favorite sellers from these online shops. I add them as favorites but I have not yet bought from them. I just love dreaming.

I'd like to share a 'craft' (handmade) thingie that I made.

It's a photo of a single necklace that I made.
The materials were:
A snap-on keychain, left over from my giveaways on my daughter's 2nd birthday.
A chain which I bought from an online seller at multiply, a long long time ago.
Voila! I have a photo pendant which holds a different picture in front and a different picture at the back.
What do you think?
Next thing I'll be making is my Twilight Mom photo pendant...
I'm currently working on my blog tweaking and attempt at a makeover for Passions of Mys because I really want to start selling online again. Or probably just to earn. I just hope I can manage 3 blogsites properly.
Oh, by the way, I joined      Lainy’s Musings
You can check out my entry, here.I'm looking for opinions or reactions since I feel as if it's a little off-tangent compared to the other entries which chronicles how they really started blogging.
Oh well, even if I don't win, at least I gave it my best shot.
I think that was one of the most difficult things I tried to do.
